Sundar Pichai-1-1024x630Buffett declared that he intended to donate more than 80 percent of his wealth to charitable foundations; in 2020, he increased that percentage to 99 percent. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation which was established by Bill Gates and Melinda (the Microsoft founder) was the primary recipient. This foundation focused on education and health in the world. Bill and Buffett had been close friends since the 90s. Other organizations that were able to receive donations were those run by Buffett's children as well as the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation named after his late wife. The foundation was focused on reproductive health of women and funded college scholarships. In 2010, Buffett together with Gates created the Giving Pledge. This pledge allowed other wealthy individuals to donate a majority of their wealth to charitable causes.
